Click to find out if EVERYONE IN THE NHL got injured this weekend. (That and tonight’s games!)
– More bad news for Blue Jackets, Carter out with broken foot
As if the 0-4-1 start for the Columbus Blue Jackets didn’t suck enough, well here is the cherry on top. Center Jeff Carter has a slight fracture on the top of his foot, but, because he is a hockey player, he’s only listed as questionable.
– Malkin not on Penguins road trip
Evgeni Malkin got a doctor’s note (I think he just didn’t want to go to Winnipeg and St. Paul) and will not accompany the team on the road this week. The Penguins say there is reoccurring soreness of Malkin’s surgically repaired knee.
– Caps down a netminder
Michal Neuvirth left the Washington Capitals practice early Monday with what the team is saying is a bruised foot. Neuvirth has missed the team’s last two games after a opening 4-3 OT win against the ‘Canes.
– Los Angeles finally gets to play at home
The Los Angeles Kings finally having their home opener tomorrow, after a long road trip to Europe and an east coast vacation to start the 2011-12 season. Ok, it’s not a vacation but the Kings still managed to get five points with their 2-1-1 start, including a solid win at Philadelphia this weekend.
