  –          October’s three stars named

Toronto’s Phil Kessel, Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen, and Edmonton goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin have been named Stars of the Month for October.  Kessel finished the month with 10 goals and 18 points.  Lehtonen has the fourth best GAA and was tied for second in save percentage with Jonathan Quick.  Khabibulin holds a 5-0-2 record and a GAA of 1.75.

–          Sean Avery officially clears re-entry waivers
Avery will join his team at practice Wednesday and be available for Thursday’s contest against Anaheim.

–         Hiller honors “Movember” with mustache mask

Anaheim goaltender Jonas Hiller has created a memorable mustached mask to wear during the month of November.  Hiller did this to commemorate “Movember,” which is a month-long event designed to create awareness of cancer among men.  Hiller will auction off the mask at the end of the month and donate the money to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong.
