Hats off to Joffrey Lupul, Flyers and Sabres, and the Avs hate being at home. That and more after the break!
Philadelphia Flyers 3 at Buffalo Sabres 2 – This game was essentially over in the first after Philadelphia put three goals in against Ryan Miller. Buffalo chipped away with goals in the second and third but fell short this Wednesday night. Goals for Philly were Sean Couturier, James Van Riemskyk and Scott Hartnell.
Toronto Maple Leafs 5 at New Jersey Devils 3 – Martin Brodeur returned between the pipes for the Devils for the first time since last month. Joffrey Lupul welcomed him back with a second period hat trick that helped the Leafs get the win in Newark. Zeros goals were scored in the third period; I guess everyone was offensively spent after the opening two periods.
Phoenix Coyotes 4 at Colorado Avalanche 1 – Honestly, Colorado, do you not like playing at home? They are quickly becoming a Jekyll and Hyde team. We’ll give the ‘yotes credit for playing well but at the same time the ‘lanche seem not to like the Pepsi Center. Radim Vrbata scored a pair of goals, the second being a empty netter.
