Daily NHL Recap

Lundqvist can stop pucks with his mind

The Rangers are streaking, and not in the Blink-182 way.

New York Rangers 3 @ Ottawa Senators 2 – I really like Milan Michalek (scored his tenth goal tonight) who scored first, but I’m sad for him.  He’s all Ottawa really has. After the Michalek goal, the Rangers scored three straight, two of which were from Marian Gaborik.

Philadelphia Flyers 1 @ Tampa Bay Lightning 2 F/OT – Philadelphia scored first on a Scott Hartnell goal in the second period. Things looked good for the Flyers until Mark-Andre Bergeron tied the game up seven minutes into the third. The Bolts wasted little time sending everyone home from the St. Pete Times Forum with Brett Connolly scoring 2 minutes and 30 seconds into OT.

Nashville Predators 4 @ Anaheim Ducks 2 –  Craig Smith had the first and last goals for the visitors. Pekka Rinne picked up another win for Nashville who were coming off a loss the night before at Staples Center against the Kings.
