Hits, Jets, and an awesome Maroon 5 reference… read on playa!– Buffalo Hills 14203

The drama continues in Buffalo after standout goaltender Ryan Miller was shelved with a concussion.  Bruins forward Milan Lucic knocked the goalie to the ice after Miller left the net to play a puck.  Disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan ruled not to suspend Lucic while calling Buffalo’s comments “irresponsible.”  The goalie called Lucic’s play “gutless.”  Can’t they all just meet at the Peach Pit and call it a day?
– WTHII favorites end 5-game skid with a win over Tampa Bay
The Winnipeg Jets snapped a five-game losing streak Monday with a win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.  Evander Kane, Tim Stapleton, and Dustin Byfuglien all tallied a goal and an assist in the 5-2 victory.  Kane called it “the most complete game we’ve played.”  Captain Andrew Ladd and Mark Flood added the other two scores.

– Enroth moves to 6-0 in Miller’s absence

The Sabres defeated the Canadians in a shootout Monday night to push backup goaltender Jhonas Enroth’s record to 6-0.  Buffalo trailed 2-0 in the third period but came back to win in a shootout.  Derek Roy and Jason Pominville scored in the third to tie the game at two while Thomas Vanek and Brad Boyes tallied two shootout goals.  The Sabres have won four of their last five.
