A 7 round shootout?  Read about it and the rest of last night’s action

Carolina Hurricanes 0 at Montreal Canadians 4 – The Canadians may have the coolest collection of names in the NHL. Since they easily won at home versus Carolina let me emphasis my point to you. Michael Cammalleri, Yannick Weber, P.K. Subban and Travis Moen sorry but I had fun just typing this names out. ‘Habs are trying to rise in the northeast division so these three points will help.

New Jersey Devils 5 at Buffalo Sabres 3 – Well the Devils lost last night in Boston via the shootout tonight they got goals from five different players en route to the road win. New Jersey scored three goals in the first two periods, a lot of third period offense as both teams combined for four goals. Buffalo you lost but Tyler Myers scored his first two goals of the season tonight.

Chicago Blackhawks 5 at Vancouver Canucks 1 – The Canucks drew first blood after a scoreless first period as Jannik Hansen put in an early second period goal.  But the Blackhawks responded with 5 straight goals. Marian Hossa had 3 assists and the Blackhawks destroyed the Canucks 5-1.

Anaheim Ducks 1 at Los Angeles Kings 2 – Impressive goaltending, or terrible shooting?  After a 7 round shootout, the Ducks and the Kings combined to go 3/14.  Jonathan Quick for the Kings and Jonas Hiller for the Ducks put on quite a show, but Justin Williams SO goal ended the game in favor of the Kings.
