Daily NHL Recap

Leafs, Kings, Oilers… Find out how the mighty succeed.

Toronto Maple Leafs 7 at Tampa Bay Lightning 1 – What if I told you that the Leafs scored seven goals on Tuesday night in Tampa and none came from Phil Kessel? Well it happened! Tyler Bozak (the clown, hey-o!) scored twice for Toronto in the route. Jonas Gustavsson stopped 27-of-28 shots that the Lightning attempted.

Los Angeles Kings 3 at St. Louis Blues 2 – LA was down 1-0 after one, tied the game up going into the third, and scored two goals for the win. Yep, pretty much the Hollywood come-from-behind script. With the game tied in the third, Willie Mitchell scored his first goal of the season with less than six minutes left to give the Kings the road win.

Edmonton Oilers 6 at Nashville Predators 2 – When last we left the Oilmen they had dropped a 4-1 decision in Dallas. Edmonton scored three goals in the first period and the next three in the third. Jordan Eberle scored twice for the Oilers leading the way with a third of his team’s offense.
