It’s a new year and the best part of your WTHII day is back and still as mediocre as you remember it.
Winnipeg Jets 3 at Montreal Canadians 7 – Winnipeg scored the first goal of the game but little else went right as the ‘Habs poured seven goals on the Jets. Lars Eller had the WTHII “where the hell did this come” from four goals tonight against the team this blog supports the most. On the bright side, three different Jets scored goals.
Boston Bruins 6 at New Jersey Devils 1 – New Jersey struck first in what’s becoming a theme on the night. Nathan Horton who I believe is also sponsoring the all-star game (calm down true hockey fans) scored two of the six goals. I think the Bruins saw they slide in my top5 and took it out on the Devils…who two plugs in one recap.
Minnesota Wild 0 at Vancouver Canucks 3 – Minnesota is sliding and we’re bummed about this. Last night they took a loss to one of the hottest teams in the NHL as the Canucks pitched a shutout. Daniel Sedin put in his 18th goal of the season and Bobby Lou made 28 saves on the night. Vancouver only seems to be getting stronger (even if this Sharks fan points out who won on New Year’s Day).
San Jose Sharks 3 at Anaheim Ducks 1 – Well Anaheim was the third team of the night that scored first that didn’t win. San Jose trailing 1-0 after the period scored twice in the second and never looked back. One of my ASG picks Joe Pavelski scored his 16th of the season that put the Sharks up 3-1 in the third which was the final outcome.
